The Swisher Library is a great place for students to work.
Student assistants in the Library assist with a variety of activities: shelving items, maintaining stacks, staffing the Circulation Desk, assisting students and faculty, working with librarians and library staff on special projects, and more. Working at the Library will not only give a student the opportunity to see how an academic library works, but each student assistant will gain work experience and skills that can transfer to just about any profession. Plus, working at the Library also gives students an opportunity to learn about all of the resources available to them in their academic career… and tell their friends!
Available positions are advertised through the Office of Financial Assistance.
Application can be picked up by visiting the Circulation Desk on the Library's main floor. You may also download a copy of the application here. Please return your completed application to the Circulation Desk.
Once a position is available in the Library, the Access Services Librarian or Circulation Manager will review applications and contact students for an interview. Due to the volume of applications received, applications are kept on file for one semester.
