What are E-Reserves?

E-Reserves, or Electronic Reserves, are course-related resources that students can access from the Library’s website. Faculty can place library-owned electronic resources (articles and e-books) on reserve for a class at any point in the semester. Items are accessed through the Library’s catalog and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you are looking to place a physical resource on reserve for your class, please visit our Course Reserves page.

How do I submit a request to place an item on E-Reserve?

Select "Faculty E-Reserves Request" from the menu on the left to fill out the required form.

How long will it take for E-Reserve items to become available?

Please allow 7-10 business days for linking.

How long do items stay on E-Reserve?

Items will remain on E-Reserve for one academic year. E-mail reminders will be sent at the end of each academic year to notify faculty that E-Reserve materials will expire. To keep items on E-Reserve, please submit a new request form.

How can I find items to place on E-Reserve?

Any electronic item available through the Library’s catalog can be placed on E-Reserve.
