The Lynn and Louis Wolfson II Florida Moving Image Archives at Miami Dade College is designated as an Official Moving Image Repository and Archives of the State of Florida. The Wolfson Archives is the primary source for original television news materials dating from 1950 through the 1990s from local Florida stations. Other collections include sports, home movies, travelogues, and public affairs programs that capture the dynamic history of our state and region.
In order to make their unique materials widely available for research and reuse by the next generation of film and video makers, Wolfson Archives is currently waiving their licensing fees for students who want to incorporate archival footage into their class assignments and projects. To search the footage available in the Wolfson Archives visit their catalog here. For more information about requesting footage for use in coursework, students should contact email@example.com and review Wolfson Archives' request procedures, available here.
