Interlibrary loan can be extremely useful, but does require a little time for processing and for physical items to be sent to us. The times below are safe estimates to help you plan for your requests. Sometimes items come earlier, but it is better to plan plenty of time to receive and use your ILL items.
For copy requests:
Plan a minimum of 7-10 working days for copy requests. Electronic requests can come very quickly, but legal restrictions and physically scanning pages can add processing time to a request.
For loan requests:
Plan a minimum 2 weeks for physical items (books, music scores, ect) to arrive. Delivery depends on shipping method and distance, which is sometimes increased for rare items.
